COVID-19 TESTING

What Test do we Offer?

We have proudly curated a Taqpath RT-PCR test solution, and the Covid-19 IgG/IgM Antibody Rapid Test by Assure. Each is their own best in class and one of the most accurate tests on the market.

  • The antibody test identifies qualitative + differential detection of SARS CoV-2 proteins to determine if you’ve had exposure to COVID-19 and have developed antibodies that potentially protect against the virus. This test is recommended post-vaccine to evaluate efficacy of the shot.

Polymerase Chain Reaction Testing (PCR):

The gold standard for identification of Covid-19 is a PCR test. (typically a nasopharyngeal swab). However, our 100% Specificity and 100% Sensitivity solution does NOT require the nasopharyngeal swab (through the nose to back of the throat but feels like the brain). We can process with a simple nasal swab that only enters less than an inch, a throat swab (like the flu or strep test), or even a saliva sample that you spit into a straw!

Our turnaround on PCR is the following day; on occasion the 2nd day if testing is done before a holiday or on a Saturday.

Antibody

The Covid-19 IgG/IgM Antibody Rapid Tests by Healgen Labs and Assure Technologies are two of the most accurate tests on the market. These tests identify qualitative and differential detection of SARS CoV-2 antibodies to determine whether you’ve had exposure to COVID-19 and have developed antibodies that potentially protect against the virus or if you have early antibodies indicating ongoing infection. This test is not used to diagnose active or acute SARS-COV-2 infection. If acute infection is suspected, direct testing by molecular methods for SARS-COV-2 is necessary. Antibody testing is a simple blood test that reveals IgM’s that may be present in early infection or pre-symptomatic individuals, and IgG’s that are produced in response to infection. Though not a magic bullet, a past infection does offer some degree of immunity for some period of time. Bonus if you get an IgG, Plasma donations from recovered candidates are in great demand! We test employees with both solutions which provide a clearer picture of incidence and prevalence in the community and in your workplace.

Igm and IgG

IgM antibodies to SARS-COV-2 are generally detectable in the blood several days after initial exposure, although the duration of time these antibodies are present post-infection is not well characterized. A positive IgM indicates the need for diagnostic testing to determine the presence of COVID-19.IgG antibodies to SARS-COV-2 are generally detectable in the blood several days after initial infection, although the duration of time antibodies are present post-infection is not well characterized. At this time it is unknown for how long antibodies persist following infection and if the presence of antibodies confers protective immunity.

  • This test is intended for the use as an aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive immune response to SARS-COV-2, indicating recent or prior infection. Results are for the detection of SAR-COV-2 antibodies.
